Job Description

Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – Serving Students in the Mundelein / Vernon Hills Region.

Contract: 2025–2026 school year | 37.5–40 hrs/week | Follows school calendar.

Competitive weekly pay: Up to $2,200 per week.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach and support students with diverse learning needs in a structured and caring environment.
• Develop and implement IEPs and engaging, adaptive lesson plans.
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support professionals.
• Maintain compliance and documentation with care and attention to detail.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement.
• Experience with IEPs, case management, and special education teaching preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform essential physical tasks of teaching (standing, walking, lifting up to 25–40 lbs, reading and speaking clearly).
